It's as has been said, if they damaged your car in their care, say hypothetically, it rolled off a ramp and was crumpled up, and they say it's your cost to repair! This would be the exact same argument. I'd start by asking your dealer (and get the Dealer Principal involved) on why they think you're legally liable to pay the costs to repair the system that they broke. I'm unsure if the car is driveable with the infotainment system non-working, and again unsure if an independent Jag specialist would be willing to get involved, however there would clearly be a charge for the repair by them. ![]() The dealer will state they need to replace the system with a new unit, and reprogram it. If they've broken the Infotainment, then it's a dealer only (or a Specialist Jaguar dealer) to fix. ![]()
